A peculiar volume I added for the sake of completeness (see description) after we read one of the poems in our shared reading group. In its Dutch translation it shares some of the themes of what I read of Han van der Vegt -- alienation, mystery, the forces of nature. Obviously, as a practicing Orthodox Christian (and scientist) Katsnelsons tone leans more towards the spiritual and downright religious which -- for me -- at times proved distracting.Judging by the huge differences in translation (English v Dutch, but also between different Dutch versions Ive come across) and not speaking Russian, I can only guess at the true poetic voice hidden in these poems.Still, its an interesting publication (only available for a limited time in a limited edition but still on Issuu as an ebook) and worthwhile to add here.
